We know very well the misdeeds of the sun on the skin... and into the head! We also know very well that outdoors, the sun does not shine all the year and that it is often driven away by the rain, for instance. So, if we need to go outside for leisure despite all, it is more than recommended to take into account these climate hazards in order to avoid ourselves (very) bad surprises.
Sheltered under a hat which holds its position whatever the weather
Cover our head well becomes then a question of the highest importance. And that necessarily means an adapted headgear: hat or cap. In any case, the best accessory must combine protection and comfort and associate good hold and resilience.
Before going hiking, or even going on a little walk, the question of the headgear must be solved beforehand. With this aim in mind, the matter, as well as the design, have a role to play.
Against the sun, it will be useful opting for a cloth hat with absorbent properties to help against the sweating. Ventilated and breathable, the head will be able to continuously aerate, renew the interior air, and forget about the weight of its protector. Some models even offer a UV protection to keep the ideas clear all along.
When there is a risk of rain, waterproofing is also a characteristic that needs to be considered. That way, the head is kept dry, and the sight is not invaded by water, above all if you are wearing glasses! In these conditions, models made of waxed cloth, canvas, felt or leather have the best profile to allow us to carry on enjoying the moment. Among caps, hats and bucket hats, whatever the style, it will be easy to find the right fit for you!
Outside, the more the hat reminds you of the home, the more it is appropriate. Be it on hiking, canoeing or gardening, millineries make it a point of honor to design headgear that are adapted to the conditions with often a combination of several functionalities (waterproofing and anti-UV for example). They now play on designs which they render chic using decorations; more useful through modernized and reimagined models; at the same time with more freedom of combination of matters.
